You approve the connection
- Cody sends the official support instructions after you request help.
- The Splashtop SOS app displays a nine-digit session code. The support session cannot begin until you share it.
- A new code is generated when the SOS app is launched again.
You can watch and stop the work
- The screen remains visible to you while Cody uses the mouse and keyboard to troubleshoot.
- You can ask questions and tell Cody to pause at any point.
- Click Disconnect or close the SOS app when the work is complete. While the app remains open, the displayed session code should still be treated as active.
Prepare the screen for privacy
- Save work and close private documents, banking tabs, personal messages, and anything unrelated to the fix.
- Enter passwords yourself when possible.
- Normal one-time support does not require installing the always-on Splashtop Streamer for unattended access.
Process details checked against the official Splashtop SOS tutorial.
Stop guessing when the problem keeps coming back
