Printer Problems

Why Is My Printer Printing Blank Pages?

Check cartridges, protective tape, printheads, drivers, and document settings when printed pages are empty.

Print a built-in test page

  • Use the printer control panel or manufacturer app so the test does not depend on the computer.
  • If the built-in page is blank, focus on cartridges and the printhead.
  • If it prints correctly, check the document, driver, and selected printer.

Inspect ink installation

  • Confirm each cartridge is seated and any shipping tape or vent seal was removed.
  • Use the printer menu to run one nozzle check and cleaning cycle.
  • Avoid repeated cleaning cycles because they consume substantial ink.

Check software settings

  • Confirm the document contains visible content and is not printing white text or an empty range.
  • Install the correct manufacturer driver instead of a generic duplicate.
  • Try a simple page from another application before blaming the original file.
When to ask for help

Stop guessing when the problem keeps coming back

Ask for help when a built-in test remains blank after proper cartridge checks or when the printhead may be dried or failing.
